The Story Behind Found Loop’s Creation

It all started with Sam, the founder of Found Loop, losing her wedding ring. Despite putting in a lot of effort, she never found her ring. She started researching why we lose stuff. She interviewed dozens of hotel managers, frequent travellers, and people with ADHD and other challenges. What she learned was that to err is human. This is the guiding philosophy behind Found Loop and its parent company, Awethentic Design.

In 2024, Sam articulated the concept of the business, and got selected to be a part of a pre-accelerator supported by the Queensland Government and Spacecubed. The Awethentic Design team, which includes a Senior UX designer and a hospitality legend with over 20 years of experience each, got busy hatching Found Loop. Together, we are helping ensure that the chances of a lost item reuniting to the rightful owner are greater than the chances of the loved item ending up in landfill.

The joy of reuniting owners with precious lost items is priceless. We love this joy in our lives on a daily basis.
