They say time heals all wounds, but for one heartbroken owner, a momentary lapse 14 years ago still feels like yesterday. In May of 2012, three deeply sentimental rings were lost on Logan Road in Mt Gravatt, and the hope of finding them has never truly faded.
It was a quiet Monday morning when the owner pulled up outside the Logan Road Mt Gravatt Centrelink. While sitting in the car, they took their rings off to rub cream onto their hands, resting the precious bands safely in their lap. Getting out of the vehicle a moment later without thinking, the rings were flung out onto the road. By the time the mistake was realised, they were gone.
While it is a long shot, these pieces are entirely unique and irreplaceable. Two of the three missing rings bear deeply personal inscriptions, while the third is a completely bespoke pearl ring:
- The Wedding Ring: Engraved with “KMC-CWS 6.1.90”
- The Engagement Ring: Engraved with the words “I love you”
- The Bespoke Pearl Ring: A custom, unengraved piece featuring a uniquely odd-shaped Broome baroque keshi pearl with a distinct silvery sheen. It is set with three goldilocks diamonds (arranged by size: big, smaller, small) with a delicate, small strip of gold lying directly over the pearl itself.
Fourteen years is a long time. Bringing these pieces home would close a 14-year chapter of loss and return a lifetime of memories to their owner. If you have any knowledge of these long lost rings, please contact the Found Loop team so we can help reunite them with the owner.
